Low Income Spay/Neuter Program

Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Center is proud to offer the Low Income Spay/Neuter Program to the general public. 

Two pets per household maximum, income qualifications must be met. 

Please Note- This program is an alternative to our general  low cost program. There are no jurisdictional guidelines. If you qualify for this program there will be a low out of pocket amount for the surgery.  Any additional services are priced below: 

  • Microchip w/Registration- $25

  • Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP)- $15

  • FVRCP- $15

  • Rabies (1 year)- $15

    • If your pet is over 4 months old at the time of surgery, WMR is required to give the vaccination at your expense​

  • Rabies (3 year)- $20

    • Must have proof of previous rabies vaccination​​

*Friday through Sunday 11am to 3pm you can bring your animal to the Main facility to receive their booster shot.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of Income
    (please submit one of the following)

    • One month of paycheck stubs​

    • Letter from ISD office, if receiving TANF

    • Letter from Unemployment Office

    • Letter from employer stating hourly wage and hours worked per week

    • SSI/Social Security Proof of Income letter

    • Self Employed/Contract Labor Individuals may use Annual Tax Return

  • Proof of Vaccine Records
    (please provide the following animal shot records)

    • For Dogs​

      • Rabies Certificate​

      • Distemper/Parvo usually listed as DHLPP

      • Under 6 months, 3 distemper/parvo boosters are needed

      • 6 months to 1 year of age, 2 distemper/parvo boosters are needed

      • 1 year to 1.5 years of age, 1 distemper/parvo shot is needed and the booster given at time of surgery

    • For Cats

      • Rabies Certificate​

      • FVRCP

      • Under 6 months, 2 FVRCP boosters are needed.

      • 6 months to 1 year of age, 2 FVRCP boosters are needed

      • 1 year to 1.5 years of age, 1 FVRCP shot is needed and the booster given at time of surgery

    • If the shots were administered/purchased by the owner certain documentation is required:​

      • Copy of the receipt from time of purchase​

      • Document with vial sticker, date vaccination given, animal information and owner information.
