Sandoval County Spay/Neuter Voucher Program

Sandoval County has teamed up with WMR to provide spay and neuter services for low-income residents in the county.

Two pets per household maximum, income qualifications must be met. Funding for this program is limited. 

Please Note- The voucher only covers the spay/neuter cost. Any additional services performed at the Ranch are at the owner's cost.  This includes:

  • Microchip w/Registration- $25

  • Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP)- $15

  • FVRCP- $15

  • Rabies (1 year)- $15

    • If your pet is over a year old at the time of surgery, WMR is required to give the vaccination at your expense​

  • Rabies (3 year)- $20

    • Must have proof of previous rabies vaccination​​

*Friday through Sunday 11am to 3pm you can bring your animal to the Main facility to receive their booster shot.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of residency for Sandoval County
    (please provide one of the following)

    • Utility Bill/Phone Bill​

    • Rental Agreement

    • Letter from landlord or person who owns the house you reside in

  • Proof of Income
    (please submit one of the following)

    • One month of paycheck stubs​

    • Letter from ISD office, if receiving TANF

    • Letter from Unemployment Office

    • Letter from employer stating hourly wage and hours worked per week

    • SSI/Social Security Proof of Income letter

    • Self Employed/Contract Labor Individuals may use Annual Tax Return

  • Proof of Vaccine Records
    (please provide the following animal shot records)

    • For Dogs​

      • Rabies Certificate​

      • Distemper/Parvo usually listed as DHLPP

      • Under 6 months, 3 distemper/parvo boosters are needed

    • For Cats

      • Rabies Certificate​

      • FVRCP

      • Under 6 months, 2 FVRCP boosters are needed.
